Preparing for Hurricane Season

Anyone that lives remotely in the South knows about the dreaded Hurricane Season which runs June 1 through November 30. It is never too early to prepare, especially for seniors and those with special needs. Council on Aging of West Florida has partnered with Santa Rosa County Emergency Management to keep our clients informed and ready if a storm hits home.

There are many things to take into account when preparing and can often times be extremely overwhelming. Santa Rosa County has put together a guide that includes information on evacuation zones, emergency kits, flooding, preparation and more. For a complete disaster guide, click here.

Hurricane Season is upon us. Don't wait until the last minute to prepare your family.
