• 4/24/2008 - Caregiver Support Group

  Council on Aging of West Florida will hold the next meeting of its caregiver support group on Thursday, April 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. The group meets regularly on the last Thursday evening of each month. New members are welcome. There is no cost and the public is invited. Reservations are not required. The meeting will be held at our Pensacola facilities at 875 Royce Street.
  
  The support group is part of new programs designed to reduce stress, increase coping skills, provide strategies for effective management of caregiving tasks and enable caregivers to provide high quality care in the home. The programs are sponsored by Council on Aging of West Florida, the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging.   Volunteers Rock! Join us on May 29 as we recognize and honor our RSVP volunteers for all they do in our community. The coveted RSVP Volunteer of the Year Award will also be presented at the luncheon at New World Landing, 600 S.
