Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
As one of the Corporation for National Service Senior Corps programs, RSVP offers persons 55 and older the opportunity to use their life experience and skills to make a difference in their community. Whether working with children or adults, helping out in times of disaster, or providing much-needed support to non profit organizations, RSVP volunteers are making their communities stronger.
RSVP Volunteers choose how, where, and when they want to serve. In Escambia County, more than 45 community organizations utilize the skills and experience of RSVP Volunteers.

Meal on Wheels Delivery Volunteers
Council on Aging of West Florida is seeking dedicated individuals or groups to volunteer to deliver meals to home bound elderly citizens of Escambia County. Volunteers may select to deliver meals on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Groups and or organizations may volunteer collecting and divide responsibilities. Not only are you delivering a meal to an elderly person, but in many circumstances you are the only contact these seniors have with another person during the day. The average time spent delivering the meals is one hour fifteen minutes.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to deliver meals to the elderly, please call Betty McLeroy at 850-432-1475 or e-mail bmcleroy@coawfla.org.
